The Many Faces of the Ruddster...oh and some boring stuff about us too

Well, while we were away, Rudyard just couldn't decide who he wanted to be. He tried his hand at being an Alpine sophisticate... I am the suave, handsome type women will adore, don't ya think?

I look just like my dad, he is the coolest guy I know! Well, I think my pappaw had something to do with that though.

Hummmm, or maybe...

I know I'll be a cool sports dude. Yea that's it I'll be the biggest colts fan ever, chicks dig that!

Yea, that's right, the colts are the bomb, or at least they were until they let New England beat them last night.

Ok, Ok, it is holloween so maybe I'll just chill for a bit and go with the season.
Wow, if that big orange thing falls over it will crush me. MOM, get that thing away from me.

Ok, that's better. I look pretty scary in my pumpkin outfit don't I. Booooooo.
OK, maybe I'm not scary but I am still pretty darn cute. The ladies will dig this stuff.

Told you chicks would dig this stuff. This is my friend Casey Gifford. Don't we rock.

My mommy carved my first pumpkin for me. Now that is really neat. She can be my mommy for ever. She is really cool.

I think my grandma likes me a little bit. It's pretty wierd when I wake up though and see her staring at me. Can she tell what I am thinking?

OK, my daddy and pappaw are pretty crazy. They like doing silly things when I am asleep.
Boy, I hope I don't have hobbit feet when I grow up...but I don't think I will have a choice.

Alwight, I will let my pappaw have it back. See you all later and be good.

Ok, last time I mentioned that we just got a new truck that we had been wanting for awhile. Here are a couple of pics I took.

I really love it. It is exactly what I wanted and I am soooo excited for winter...4 wheelin baby!!!

If you don't know where we live, here is a picture of the house when we bought it in Oct. of 2001. We had some sewer problems and had to dig up the sewer line running to the street and replace some drain tiles. That wasn't fun. It flooded the new, completely finished basement and ruined the brandnew carpet we had just put in. So we spent most of the time remodeling the inside and are just now getting to the outside of the house. Finally!!!
The tree in front was ruined by Japanese beetles this past summer so it had to go.

And this summer, after cutting down the tree in front and the two large trees in the back, we spent some time and painted the house. It is a sage green with almond trim if you can't see it clearly in the picture.
We put on a new roof and did a little landscaping planting bed in the front. It is just the first step in completely relandscaping the entire front and side of the house. My goal is to eliminate as much mowing area as possible. Hey, more free time for us.

Let's see, what else is going on at the Glaze residence...

Oh yea, I decided to buy another Playstation2 game since we haven't had a new one for about three years. I bought the new Guitar Hero III game. It comes with a guitar that plugs into the PS2 console and has some buttons on it and on the TV screen it has a guitar that scrolls notes by that you have to follow and try to keep up with. If you can't, they boo you off stage. If you can get a good score, more songs open up for you to play.

Anyway, I thought it would be a fun game to play for Brock and I since we both play guitars, and even my buddy Dave that I play guitars with.

So here is what happened. I brought it home and told Jane Ann that I just bought a new game for the PlayStation. I played a bit then showed her how to do it. She was ready to try her hand at it so I gave her the guitar. OK, I can't get it out of her hands now. Luckily, the bundle I bought at Target came with two guitars so we can play together. I went to bed last night at 11:30 and she was still playing. It is sooo funny watching her play. She loves it. She actually beat me on some songs.

Dave and I finally came up with a name for our duo/group. "Living Stone"

1 Peter 2:4-5 4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Well, for now I guess that will do. Always remember to Live, Laugh and Love. It is good for your soul.

Another day, another picture!

Not much is really going on in the Glaze houshold right now. We are getting to see our little buddy a lot and that is really fun.

Jane Ann has just started a new bible study at our church. It is Beth Moore's "A Woman's Heart" Alisa is going with her and they are really getting alot out of it.

We just bought a truck. We/I have been wanting a truck for some time but couldn't find what we/I was looking for. I wanted a 2000-2003 Dodge Dakota club cab, 6 cyl., 2 wheel drive. No one is selling them. I have looked at the reports on them and they seem to be very good trucks. That's why there aren't any used ones out there. People buy them and hang on to them. Anyway, we just happened to drive by a dealer and there was a red 2000 setting on the lot. It was a club cab, 4x4, 4.7 V8 Magnum. Bigger engine than I wanted and 4x4 but we drove it anyway. Turns out, it was a great truck. We bought it. When I can borrow our camera from Brock and Alisa, I'll take some pics and post them.

My friend Dave and I are playing music at our church's Friday Night Cafe this Friday evening so that will be fun. Our church hosts Friday evenings of music, drinks from the coffee bar, painting, throwing pottery on a wheel, and whatever games you want to bring along. It is always a fun time of fellowship.

Well, right now, Rudyard would like to share a few things.

"After my belly is full and I've had a fresh diaper change, it's good to just lay on the floor and do nothing. Of course, that's what I like to do most of the time right now anyway."

"My favorite past time right now is watching the ceiling fan go round and round...oh yea, and pooping. I'm getting really good at that one."

"Hey, who is this guy, I know it isn't my mommy. He feels more like my daddy, all furry and fuzzy, but I think my daddy is much bigger than this guy, and funnier looking."

"Meow, hey you, wake up. You're sleeping in my chair."

Well, that's it for today, and as always I would like to leave you with something to remember. This is one of my favorite psalms.

Psalms 100:
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

See you next time!!

Brand new blog site

I hope to be able to share a little bit of the lives of myself and my wife Jane Ann and our family.

The newest thing in our lives right now is our new grandson Rudyard. My son and his lovely wife Alisa, on the 31st of July, gave each other, us and God one more little child to watch over and protect as the years roll along. He is a healthy little boy and growing as to be expected.

The picture to the left is Brock and Alisa holding Rudyard just after he was born.

The picture to the right is grandma and grandpa with mommy and little Rudyard.

This is grandma Jane and son Brock with baby Rudyard.

Here we have the three generations of the Glaze men.

You can't tell that we are proud grandparents can you? Well, enough for today.

I will leave you today but please take this with you...

Whatever you do, do for the cause of Christ. He will bless you a hundred fold. This isn't just a mere saying but words of experience. God is so good and we don't always look to him before we start our day. But if we ask him to show us his will for just today, we have nothing more to ask.
